  • Essay / The United States and Immigration - 1049

Issue: The future of the United States risks missing an opportunity to increase the workforce due to political gridlock. In the United States, more than 11 million undocumented immigrants currently live in hiding. Most of them want to work legally. Unfortunately, this bill and the bipartisan immigration reform bill passed by the Senate in 2013 have not been amended. This represents a 75% increase in illegal entries in just a decade. Further,...... middle of paper...... HAIR COMMITTEES ON THE JUDICIARY, HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. (GAO PUBLICATION No. GAO-04-82).
