Because of all the possible factors and disabilities, people should really consider getting a flu shot and decide if it's really worth it. If someone was trying to predict the right time to get the vaccine, they should plan to get it before February. February is peak flu season, and getting vaccinated any time afterward would be pointless. Doctors would recommend somewhere in October or November. Someone would want to plan a few months in advance so that the body has time to accumulate antigens and stimulate the body to resist the flu.
