    In any married couple's relationship, there will be times when their relationship will be tested. Some couples survive their relationships without any relationship and live the rest of their lives happily married, but most fail to resolve their problems and are forced to divorce. Couples get married with the intention of staying together for the rest of their lives, but unfortunately, this is not the case for many marriages. In fact, more than 50% of married couples eventually divorce. Divorce is the dissolution of marriage by a court. Since married couples are on the verge of divorce, they not only have to deal with the stress of divorce, but also the financial problems it brings. Divorce affects everyone differently, and there are many different types and laws that influence divorce. Divorce is viewed differently by each state. Not all states have the same divorce laws. States view divorce in two ways: “community property” and “equitable distribution.” “Community property.” This is when any property purchased during the marriage belongs to both people involved in the divorce, and many states view divorce this way. The states are: Arizona, California, Louisiana, Nevada, Texas, Idaho, New Mexico, Wisconsin and Washington. The community property rule does not take into account inheritances or donations that the couple received during the marriage. “Sometimes people facing divorce don't get what they deserve, because they can't wait to get it over with, or because they hope to reconcile and don't want to alienate their spouse, or because They want revenge on their spouse for real or imaginary wrongs. » (Fowles 5). The laws regarding divorce can be very confusing if couples are unfamiliar with the laws.
